I Left Jordan… and Came Back Different
Taking part in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering program in Brașov, Romania, was far more than an ordinary experience. It became a life-changing journey that combined passion, learning, and the practical application of everything I had studied in digital marketing and social services.

When I arrived in Romania, I was excited to step into a completely new environment, meet people from different cultures, and gain experiences that no classroom could ever provide. I have always believed that experience is the greatest teacher and that real growth often comes through challenging situations. However, I never imagined that this journey would become such a significant turning point in both my personal and professional life.

Throughout the project, I had the opportunity to put my digital marketing knowledge into practice by managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, planning digital campaigns, monitoring performance, and continuously improving our online presence. This was undoubtedly one of the most rewarding aspects of the experience, as it allowed me to transform academic knowledge into real, measurable results.

Through consistent teamwork and dedication, we achieved remarkable growth across our digital platforms. Our content reached thousands of people, generated meaningful engagement, and helped increase awareness of the project’s activities and mission. It was incredibly rewarding to see ideas that began as simple concepts turn into measurable achievements and to know that my work contributed to promoting the values of volunteering and community engagement.

Beyond digital marketing, I actively participated in community activities and collaborated with an international team of volunteers from different countries. This experience strengthened my communication, teamwork, time management, and adaptability skills. Most importantly, it taught me how to rely on myself, make important decisions under pressure, and confidently navigate unfamiliar situations.

On a personal level, this journey gave me greater self-confidence, strengthened my sense of responsibility, encouraged me to take initiative, and taught me to embrace challenges with a positive mindset. I realized that volunteering is not only about giving back to society it is also one of the greatest investments a person can make in their own personal and professional development. During my volunteering period, I also had the opportunity to visit around seven different countries, each with its own unique culture and traditions, which further broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity.

The hosting organization played a major role in making this experience successful. They created a supportive environment, encouraged creativity, and trusted us to implement our own ideas. What impressed me most was their genuine commitment to recognizing and developing each volunteer’s individual strengths. They not only valued my digital marketing skills but also encouraged my athletic abilities, making me feel appreciated as both a professional and an individual.

This journey was never just about spending a few months in Romania. It became a defining chapter in my career and reinforced my belief that digital marketing is much more than a university major it is a powerful tool for creating meaningful impact, especially when used to communicate important messages to the right audiences.

Looking back, I can confidently say that this experience exceeded every expectation I had. Today, I return home equipped with stronger skills, greater confidence, and valuable knowledge gained from overcoming real challenges. I am now better prepared to share what I have learned, contribute more effectively to future opportunities, and continue growing both professionally and personally. If I were given the chance to live this experience again, I would accept it without hesitation.

غادرت الأردن… وعدت مختلفاً
لم تكن مشاركتي في برنامج التطوع الأوروبي (ESC) في مدينة براشوف تجربة عادية، بل كانت محطة حقيقية جمعت بين الشغف، والتعلم، والتطبيق العملي لما درسته وتعلمته في تخصص التسويق الرقمي والخدمات الاجتماعية.

وصلت إلى رومانيا وأنا أحمل الحماس لخوض تجربة جديدة في بيئة مختلفة تماماً عن بيئتي، والتعرف على ثقافات متعددة، واكتساب خبرات لا يمكن أن توفرها قاعات الدراسة وحدها. كنت على معرفة ان التجربة خير برهان وان النجاح يأتي احياناً من التجارب الصعبة لأنها تزرع بنا أثمن الخبرات والمهارات الفردية، لكنني لم أتوقع أن تكون هذه التجربة نقطة تحول على الصعيدين الشخصي والمهني.

خلال المشروع، أتيحت لي الفرصة لتطبيق تخصصي في التسويق الرقمي بشكل عملي من خلال إدارة منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وصناعة المحتوى، والتخطيط للحملات الرقمية، وتحليل أداء المحتوى والعمل على تطويره باستمرار. بالنسبة لي، كان هذا الجانب من أكثر الأجزاء قيمة في التجربة وأكثر الجزئيات نجاحاً وذات أثر خلال فترة تطوعي، لأنه منحني فرصة لتحويل المعرفة الأكاديمية إلى نتائج حقيقية على أرض الواقع.
ومع العمل المستمر، حققنا نموًا ملحوظًا على المنصات الرقمية، ووصل المحتوى إلى أعداد كبيرة من الأشخاص، وحقق تفاعلًا مميزًا ساهم في زيادة انتشار أنشطة المشروع والتعريف برسالته. كان الشعور مميزاً كشخص يساعد نجاح عمله وأرى أثر الأفكار التي نخطط لها يتحول إلى أرقام وإنجازات ملموسة، وأن أكون جزءًا من فريق يعمل على إيصال رسالة التطوع بكافة محاوره.

إلى جانب ذلك، شاركت في العديد من الأنشطة المجتمعية والعمل مع فريق دولي يضم متطوعين من دول مختلفة، الأمر الذي ساعدني على تطوير مهارات التواصل، والعمل الجماعي، وإدارة الوقت، والتكيف مع بيئة عمل متعددة الثقافات بالإضافة لأهم مهارة وهي الاعتماد على النفس واتخاذ القرارات المهمة بسرعة.

أما على المستوى الشخصي، فقد منحتني هذه التجربة ثقة أكبر بنفسي، وعززت قدرتي على تحمل المسؤولية، واتخاذ المبادرة، والتعامل مع التحديات بإيجابية. تعلمت أن التطوع لا يقتصر على تقديم خدمة للمجتمع، بل هو استثمار حقيقي في تطوير الإنسان لنفسه ومهاراته وخلال فترة تطوعي قُمت بزيارة ما يقارب 7 دول مختلفة بثقافات مختلفة كان لي دافع قوي لرؤية الثقافات والشعوب الأخرى.

وكان للمنظمة المستضيفة دور كبير في هذا النجاح، إذ وفرت لنا بيئة داعمة، وشجعتنا على الإبداع، ومنحتنا المساحة لتطبيق أفكارنا وتحويلها إلى نتائج حقيقية، وهو ما جعل التجربة أكثر قيمة وأثرًا والأكثر اهمية انهم كانوا يهتموا بالمهارات الفردية وعلى سبيل المثال كان لهم اهتمام في مهاراتي الرياضية والرقمية.

هذه الرحلة لم تكن مجرد أشهر في رومانيا، بل كانت تجربة صنعت فرقًا حقيقيًا في مسيرتي المهنية، ورسخت قناعتي بأن التسويق الرقمي ليس مجرد تخصص درسته، بل مجال أستطيع من خلاله إحداث أثر حقيقي عندما تتاح لي الفرصة وتحديداً في هذا المجال عندما تريد إيصال الرسالة للفئات المعينة.

وفي الختام لا يمكن ان تكون هذه التجربة تجربة عابرة بل كانت أكثر بكثير مما تصورت، واليوم انا مسلح بالمهارات اللازمة التي اكتسبتها بعد مواجهتي للتحديات التي تجاوزتها، واليوم انا قادر على تقديم المعرفة والخبرة بشكل أكبر وثقة أكبر، ولو سمحت لي الفرصة ل اعادة التجربة لن أتردد.
