We are looking for volunteers for European Solidarity Corps “ESC” project, that will be in Romania 1st March 2023 – 30th December 2023 (10 months).

This application form is divided into 4 sections as follow:
First section: personal information.
Second Section: true or false questions.
Third section: short story to read and answer its questions.
Fourth section: documents to upload (C.V, motivation letter & passport).

Location: Craiova – Romania
Duration: 1st March 2023 – 30th December 2023 (10 months).

Profile of the volunteer:
– Aged 18 – 30 year old.
– That did not do a long term EVS or ESC.
– Fluent at a medium level in English, both speaking and writing.
– Additional languages of international usage will be considered a plus for some activities.
– Motivated to take part in the project and showing involvement during the selection process.
– Able to assume all the tasks and rules of the project and to remain involved during the dissemination stage after the project ends.
– Having a Euro-pass CV and a tailored motivation letter for our project, work and community.
– Previous experience in volunteering work locally or internationally will be considered a plus.
– YOUTH with few opportunities (unemployed, not in school, few financial possibility ties, cultural / religious/gender obstacles etc.) will have priority and a tailored support plan.

Objectives:
We aim to support and promote the social responsible development of the society and the environment, through social, cultural and learning activities. Through our projects we intend to develop and to exchange good practice in the youth work with other associations around the world, aiming to provide support for youngsters from our community into any type of social initiative that they will have, focusing more on developing awareness in relation with the negative environment changes, all by using non-formal education as a central key point in education.

Our association is organizing community events like fairs, concerts, workshops, debates etc., with the aim of providing youngsters with the opportunity to understand the community reality and to empower them with tools in order to be able to be elements of change in the community.

Activity of the project:
– Workshops for youth and children under the frame of non-formal learning that tackle a subject related with the 3 main objectives established at our youth hubs.
– Awareness campaigns and public events. You can visit our FB page and see the array of events and campaigns we do.
– Activities with children / youth in schools and kindergartens to promote non-formal learning and social inclusion and acceptance of the other.
– Democracy and EU related activities, by working alongside our local partners for a more open and proper educated EU citizens.

*Other aspects:
-Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in apartments, 2 / room, same gender room, will share a kitchen and bathroom.
Will be provided:
– 1 set of bed sheets, 1 pillow, 1 blanket /volunteer
– Cutleries, pans and other necessities for basic cooking to be shared between the volunteers
(kitchen equipment’s will be basic)
– Washing machine to be shared
– Local transportation: a monthly local travel bus pass will be provided for each volunteer.
-Financial Support:
The volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money, at the end of each month.
-Travel:
275 Euro provided for international travel (round trip).
