Volunteering with the European Solidarity Corps in Romania | Aseel from Jordan

Spending months in Romania with the Merry Go Bloom project was more than a volunteering experience — it was a journey of growth, connection, and self-discovery.

I worked in sustainable agriculture, engaged with children and youth, created digital content, and shared everyday life with people from different cultures.

I learned how powerful simple things can be: teamwork, care, creativity, and being present.

This experience pushed me out of my comfort zone, made me more confident and independent, and reminded me why I love community work, storytelling, and creating impact with heart.

Forever grateful for the people, the lessons, and the memories.

تجربة تطوع في رومانيا، اصيل من الأردن

قضاء عدة أشهر في رومانيا ضمن مشروع Merry Go Bloom لم يكن مجرد تجربة تطوع، بل كانت رحلة حقيقية من النمو، والتواصل، واكتشاف الذات.

عملت في الزراعة المستدامة، وتفاعلت مع الأطفال والمراهقين، وصنعت محتوى رقمي، وشاركت تفاصيل الحياة اليومية مع أشخاص من ثقافات مختلفة.

تعلّمت كيف أن الأشياء البسيطة قد تكون عميقة التأثير؛ مثل العمل الجماعي، والاهتمام، والإبداع، والحضور الحقيقي.

هذه التجربة أخرجتني من منطقة الراحة، وزادت ثقتي بنفسي واستقلاليتي، وذكّرتني لماذا أحب العمل المجتمعي، وسرد القصص، وصناعة الأثر بروح إنسانية.

ممتنة للأشخاص، والدروس، والذكريات التي ستبقى معي دائمًا.
