My Journey with the European Solidarity Corps within the Keep Non-Formal Education Project in Romania 🇷🇴
I started my journey with the European Solidarity Corps less than a month ago, as part of the Keep Non-Formal Education project in Romania — and from the very first day, I felt it would be an exceptional experience full of learning and personal growth.
I came to Romania driven by curiosity and a desire to live a European experience that combines education, work, and cultural exchange. From the beginning, I was inspired by the beauty of working in a diverse environment where people from different countries and backgrounds come together to promote non-formal education and make learning more engaging and practical.
During the first weeks, we started preparing educational activities for school students, focusing on topics such as teamwork, communication, and European citizenship. What I love most about this project is that we teach not through traditional lessons, but through interactive games and creative exercises that encourage students to think and participate.
This experience also motivates me to develop myself every day — through teamwork, planning activities, learning the Romanian language, and exploring the local culture. I’m sure the coming months will bring new opportunities for growth and learning, both personally and professionally.
Although I’m still at the beginning of my journey, I truly believe this experience will be a turning point in my life — one that will deepen my understanding of non-formal education, leadership, and cultural diversity. I’m really excited for all that’s yet to come here in Romania.
