our ESC volunteer Khaled in Craiova, Romania

I’m Khaled Ismail, a Jordanian volunteer currently based in Craiova, Romania. I’m part of an 8-months volunteering journey with Explorator under the “Inclusivity Unlocked 2” project, funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). Throughout this experience, I’m involved in supporting community-based activities, contributing to inclusive events, and creating digital content that highlights the importance of diversity like social media and youtube podcasts, accessibility, and social connection. This journey is helping me grow on both a personal and professional level, while fostering cultural exchange between Jordan and Romania and contributing to a more inclusive and connected community.

أنا خالد إسماعيل، متطوع أردني حالياً موجود في كرايوفا – رومانيا. مشارك برحلة تطوعية لمدة 8 شهور مع منظمة Explorator ضمن مشروع “Inclusivity Unlocked 2”، والممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي من خلال برنامج الفيلق الأوروبي للتضامن (ESC).

خلال هالتجربة بشتغل على دعم الأنشطة المجتمعية، وبشارك بتنظيم فعاليات بتعزز الشمولية، وبصنع محتوى رقمي مثل السوشال ميديا وبودكاست على يوتيوب، بهدف تسليط الضوء على أهمية التنوع، وإتاحة الفرص للجميع، وبناء روابط اجتماعية حقيقية. هالرحلة عم تساعدني أطور حالي على المستوى الشخصي والمهني، وبنفس الوقت أبني جسور تواصل ثقافي بين الأردن ورومانيا، ونساهم مع بعض بمجتمع أكثر شمولية وترابط.
