Location: Brașov – Romania
Duration: 1 August 2025 – 30 January 2026 (6 months).
About the project:
Through this project, we aim to promote Non-Formal Education and the opportunities youngsters have to join European projects such as Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and ESC volunteering. We‘ll go to schools, help in organizing projects and the ELF festival (see below) and organize activities for the local community, based on your experience and skills.
We do this as a means to spread the values of the European Union, such as social inclusion and active participation, solidarity and diversity, volunteering, sustainability, and participation of people with fewer opportunities among youngsters from the regions of Brașov and Bacău, Romania.
Objectives:
- Increasing the acquisition of soft skills (critical thinking, complex problem solving, innovation, creativity, communication), contributing to the personal and professional development of young people in their communities.
- Improving tolerance and inclusion among the children and young people in their communities, for them to become more open to cooperation among youth from different backgrounds, families and financial situations.
- Personal and professional development of the volunteers, learning how to work with groups, and creating social media content.
- We are aiming to create the ideal fusion between the volunteers (their previous skills, the skills we can train) and the local community of youngsters so we can highlight the solidarity element.
Activities:
- Social media activities & Photo – Video – create visual and written content, managing the organization’s SM accounts.
- Organize workshops and activities for children and young people from the local social centers in in Brașov area.
- Preparing trainings with the following topics: NFE, inclusion / cooperation / multiculturalism, environment and sustainability.
- Ecology campaigns and workshops – raising awareness of a sustainable lifestyle.
- Personal and professional development through theater/ coaching/ movement/ career guidance.
- Promoting and participating in the ELF Festival as organizers.
- Preparing to host the ELF volunteering teams in the summer and collaborating with them.
- Organizing workshops and activities for children and young people from Brașov and surroundings.
- Intercultural activities in the community, collective and group activities.
Profile of the volunteer:
- Strong desire to engage with schools, foster homes, and/or organize
festivals, meet new people, and explore Romania. - Being responsible and knowing when to be serious and when to lighten up.
- Eagerness to acquire new skills and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Demonstrating flexibility and an open-minded attitude, especially when dealing with challenging circumstances.
- Proficient in English language.
- Not younger than 18 or older that 30 on your arrival day.

-Accommodation:
You will be accommodated in a cozy apartment, located in the City Center, an apartment with a fully fitted kitchen, 2 bathrooms, hot water and 2-3 people/room.
- Local transportation: will be provided by the host.
- Financial Support:
Allowance per month – €270 (food + pocket money).

275 Euro provided for international travel (round trip).
